We demonstrate, for the first time, successful S-matrix to potential inversion for spin one projectiles with non-diagonal S j ll ′ yielding a T R interaction. The method is a generalization of the iterative-perturbative, IP, method. We present a test case indicating the degree of uniqueness of the potential. The method is adapted, using established procedures, into direct observable to potential inversion, fitting σ, iT 11 , T 20 , T 21 and T 22 for d + alpha scattering over a range of energies near 10 MeV. The T R interaction which we find is very different from that proposed elsewhere, both real and imaginary parts being very different for odd and even parity channels.

Data for the scattering of 6 He, 8 He, 9 Li, and 11 Li from hydrogen are analyzed within a fully microscopic folding model of proton-nucleus scattering. Current data suggest that of these only 11 Li has a noticeable halo. The available data for the 6 Li(γ, π +) 6 He gs reaction support the conclusion that 6 He does not.

We discuss a recent computation of Compton scattering on the deuteron at photon energies of order the pion mass. An interaction kernel is computed in baryon chiral perturbation theory and sewn to phenomenological deuteron wave functions. As an appetizer, we consider a computation of the pion-deuteron scattering length using this method.
